Yes, you may. They are not, however, really necessary unless you need a night time heat source. Since CWD are diurnal, they sleep at night-so youi're not missing much!

I would say thats way to low, might even want to get something warmer like a cermamic heat emitter these are great and cost less in long run, they don't burn out quick like bulbs i have had one on for 24 hours a day every day except for liek 2 months out of summer for almost 2 years now, and hav'nt had to replace it

xjellox is probably on the money on this one. I would get a Ceramic Heat Emitter and possibly a rheostat. Your gonna need to jump from 59 to 75 so a jump of almost 16 degrees.

Totally agree. 59 is way too low. My alarm goes off at 64F (which it did this winter) and I added a 2nd CE for the rest of the winter.

My 75w infared light is on 24 hour a day. The heat is perfect with it at night. During the day it's on one side and a 150w sun glo daylight lamp is on the other, to keep it at 85-90. I assume it depends on where you live and viv. size. It took me awhile to get it right!

Keep it safe. You might need it next winter! I always have to shift my bulbs around between seasons!

It's still winter in TN! Our high is 50's still! I watch the temp all the time, as soon as it warms up I'll start cutting off or put it on a timer.
