Hey everyone, I have been super busy all weekend and all day today so I thought I would relate my story about the new water dragon when I finally had lunch break. We went out to get him fridaynight and went back and forth between 2 shops like 2 times each. We finally decided on a hatcling with silver Iris's as the older dragons were far to big for the quarantine tank we have. So he came home with us and after a short soak to clean off his skin went into the quarantine tank. He loved the heat bulb, apparently his cage at Petco was not very warm he snuggled up in the 92 degree spot and warmed for about an hour before it was lights out time. Saturday morning he amazed us by drinking out of a squirt bottle stream aimed at the branch in front of him (a trick that took pooka a week or two to learn). He is a cute little guy witha full striped tail and silver Iris's instead of yellow. He is about 8 inches long from nose to tail tip whihc is larger then pooka when we got her. he amazed us even further with his voracious appetite. His first meal was 3 crickets and 2 small silkworms and 2 medium silkworms and he still was looking for more. He put away a similar amount later on in the day for dinnner. This morning he put down 5 crickets and 2 medium silkworms. I am floored by his feeding response, most dragons (pooka included) refuse feed for a few days because of the stress in the move, he apparenlty thinks he would starve to death. We have no name for him yet as we want to see his attitude before nameing him but we are calling him "bobble head two" and "little prince" at the moment. Here are some pics although they don't do justice to how small he looks compared to Pooka.
