I usually feed my dragon every other day about 14-18 superworms and a fuzzy once a week or two. I tried feeding him a fuzzy and some superworms today multiple times and he wont take anything. Im assuming hes just not hungry, he looks healthy, almost a little chubby sometimes, so Im pretty sure its not parasites. Plus hes been treated for parasites already. I dont think its an impaction either because i always serve his food in a dish by hand and there is a stool from today in his water.
To the point now, when i put things near him, like food or my hand, and hes not hungry, he twitches his head a little like hes afraid. Is this normal? It doesnt seem like a problem because he only does that when hes not hungry or not interested/scared. I'm pretty sure hes done this for the 3 years I've had him, I just thought I'd ask. Thanks!

If Awol is not interested he just shuts his eyes and ignores the world around him.

I have not heard of anything like this before. Follow your gut instinct if you don't think its normal take him to the vet. I hear the word 'twitch' and it sounds the alarm in my head for MBD, but obviously this is more of a head shake if I am reading your post right. Regardless failure to feed is an issue if it goes on more then 2 or 3 days. Wish I could be of more help.

Yeah it is just slightly with his head, I do suppliment his superworms with calcium once a week and I also use active UV Power Sun bulbs, so I dont know how he would get MBD. I'll see if he eats today, In meantime, are fuzzies old enough to live independently? If he refuses to eat the fuzzy Im going to have top keep it.

My girl Pao Sze will also do that. Usually if food is touching her... She just kinda turns her nose up, closes her eyes and her head kinda trembles. I always kinda saw it as "ohh my god, it's touching me! eww! eww!" She's so spoiled...

omG leo does that too!!! well he has some "deformed" spikes and i was petting him, and ran my finger down his spikes, and when i touched them he twitched its SOOO SAD!!!!!!! so i stopped touching those spikes lol. ALso he has a little mouth thingy, i clean it weekly its gets this little like scab like thing. well i wouldnt think its mouth rot, cuz hes had it like over ayear. and it stays the same, but when i have to clean it he twitches so for me i would think it would be a pain reflex or somethin.
