start just feeding small amounts until she gets to a healthy weight that way she wont be hungry enough to eat tiny

well she does get all the right diet except she is parcial to wax worms so this week they are off the food list so she will just have to get use to not having them these were her treat when she came out at night as they were the only thing she would let me hand feed her and as she is a bit of a wild child it is the only time I could get near her tonight after I had took her out and let her run around for a while and she realised that she was getting put back into her viv and hadn't had her wax worms she decided to leave her mark on me so I now have very badly scratched arms and hands

Try a silkworm offer of peace, still a white treat and so much better for her too.
Awol finally took a worm from me without taking my finger but no way in hell I am going to start handfeeding him LOL

I would try silkworms also. Both my dragons till prefer waxworms over silks but if your vet told you to thin her up waxworms should be a strcit no-no as they hold no nutritional value outside of fattening up the dragon.

I have to order mine from the internet. I pay $11 for a JUV Trial Kit at silkwormfarm.com. I order on Friday and have them by Wednesday. They come with 100 worms and food. You have to feed them everyday. The 100 worms feed BOTH of my Dragons for 3+ weeks (the worms usually get too big to feed to the dragons before I run out) Afterwards I feed the too-large worms left over to a friends Oscar Fish. Not sure if you have a credit or debit card or not but I spent more then $ 11 in 3 weeks on crickets easy. Silkworms are an awesome food source, so much healthier then crikcets or waxworms.

Up here when my normal supplier cannot cope with my needs I end up paying 5 bucks a dozen for my worms, but 1/2 of dry chow has lasted me almost 2 months with no signs of spoilage since I keep it airtight in plastic wrap.
I am going to try hatching eggs soon I think, I am sure that I could sell off extras if I end up with too many.
Like Pooka said they are an excellent food source and so far have been very easy to maintain and handle.
