I would love to post some pictures but have no idea some. I only have ones off my phone at the moment but will happily E-Mail them to someone if they know hjjow to post. I will get my brother to take some on his digital and get him to help me post. Regarding Schizo, it sounds like he eats a lot better than Walter. My wife has clamped down on live insects (after some heavy Cricket outbreaks) so he eats mainly tinned insects and superworms. I supplement his diet as directed so if he is big I have no idea why. It is not as if he has a stress free life as my one year old daughter loves him but is for ever bugging him, in and out of his viv.

if you could get your brother to take some it would be great. www.photobucket.com is a good site to host your pics on It sounds as though both reptiles (schizo and walter) both have excellent diets.. it really is weird how one is sooo big and the other is the opposite

Hm... By any chance does Walter get natural sunlight rather than UVA and UVB lights? And how big is his cage? Agama International gives their reptiles all natural sunlight, large a** outdoor enclosures along with a good diet (I believe this includes suppliements...), they also said their water dragons got to be Schizo's at a couple months old long ago, so maybe one of those factors could have something to do with it along with individual growth rates.

how big is schizo now... my 2 water dragons have grown 8-9cm in 2 months (about 3inches). I believe they are doing pretty well. As for the UV, i'd say natural sunlight is beneficial but wouldnt have that much of impact, but i don't have info on that too compare soo i really couldnt tell you. I wouldnt worry too much about how big he is, cause as i learnt with my beardies, as long as he is healthy and still growing, he will eventually reach his 'full grown' size Thanks for that too philliphall

Spike, I tried to send you a picture off my phone - did you get it ?. I used the E-Mail address from your site. Walter's present home is 4' by 4' by 2'. As so far he has never seen the sun (poor thing) but summer (well the little summer we get) is approaching in the UK so I hope to rig him up something outdoors.

To be honest he is not to skittish now, except when you first take him out of his viv. He lets me handle him and perches on my arm or shoulder quite happily. He even puts up with my curious 13 month old daughter who follows him around, shouts at him and trys to give him a love (Walter wanders off out of reach quite calmly). A bit off the point but Wlater is one of the five words my little girl can say (proud Dad) and spends hours watching him in his viv and showing him off to visitors. Regarding calming him down he has probably only been handled every other and every third day due to my fairly busy life but got quite tame very quickly. I think I have just been lucky to be honest. Good luck with yours.

Alright, I've finally gotten two of the pictures scanned. (I had it done at my grandmother's rather than the friend in California.) I'll only be posting one though, as the other is basically the same thing but a little closer and from a barely different angle. ... Or maybe it's the other way around, oh well. Comments about the picture: He's eating both shooshed up mango and carrot baby food and both are mixed with some calcium powder, the sand may look wet but i think that may be because of the odd darkness of the picture once it was scanned... Seriously, it's lighter in the actual picture... Anyway, the sand WAS clean and new at that time (And is now in the dump...) but it was a mixture of various colors, not very attractive looking but I had to settle with it because that was all the pet store had at the time... It was mainly black and white, but there should be some blue and green in there too.
