My 2 AWD"s are, well im 99% sure the same age and were roughly the same size when i got them maybe 1/2 to 1 cm difference. Just so you know what im on about i will make one of the AWD's no.1 and the other no.2 (unsure of sex so i havent named them yet. When i measured them a week or so ago, and after just comparing them visually i have noticed that no.1 is bigger than no.2 but the head to body ratio is about the same is both. no.1 is about 4cm and feels a bit heavier than the no.2, not a lot but noticeable, and the no.1's crest is getting a bit bigger than the no.2 but if you think of it in a ratio, then they would have have the same ratio of crest-head size. Do i have a male and female or is no.1 just outgrowing the other??

Sounds juust like no. 1 is just growing fast. You still have some time before you can accurately sex them. Just my thoughts.

Any sign of red on the belly? I'm not sure exactly when they begin to get it, but males do and females do not! They have been discussing that on the repticzone forum. I didn't know it until then! Suppposedly the crest and head changes are not as signigicant in Aussie's as they are in Chinese, but the red belly is a dead give-a-way for males. The mature males are gorgeous!

i was told that females get a dull red stomach, but not as bright as the males. I thought it was only the males too. Does anyone know what age they should start to show signs of a red stomach

LOL-my question was pretty much rhetorical anyway. Other than the red belly thing I'm at a loss. But I had no idea until a few people posted pics of someof the larger specimens that they were so beautiful. That red belly is really showy on the males!
