No one else seems very intersested so I thought I would post it here. Walter, my nine month old Aussie, now lets my 15 month old daughter Poppy sit and stroke him (and she is very gentle so I am proud of her to). I think this is a big thing for such a young lizard, I am very proud and wanted to share it. In case any one is worried we are very hygenic and safe (I am a nurse).

congrats, sounds like a big milestone. Both my CWDs allow young'ins to stroke them (I stress out though as I am a worry wart) but greens are alot more tolerant and less skittish. Hygiene is great but you should be ok at this point, salmonella is really only a great risk when you first get a strange reptile, or so I hear, it may bear some research.

Thanks for sharing! I can remember emails from you when Walter was small and you thought he would NEVER settle down. LOL Having him gentle enough to let a 15 month old stroke him is excellent! Poppy must be very well behaved herself. I'd love to see some pics of Walter. Is his belly red yet?

Thats great about walter!!... i havent had such luck with my dragons, but to be honest i am not giving them the proper time they need to calm down .... the male has shown great improvement though, once he has been caught, he will calm down after a minute or so
