i bought Nibbler on 14-06-2006
now almost 5 motnhs later e's still extremely skittish, he is a juvenile AWT,and even tho i personally put the food in his vive and handle him at minimum for 20 mins every 2 days and around 45 mins of roaming around my room every 2 days, he is still skittish.
he runs into the wall and digs furiosuly into the ground when i open his cage and only calm once i hold him firmly, but putting my hand in willset him off and returning him to the vive after his roaming he is even faster at getting away!
any tips? ive just gone with the "make contacts alot" method and it doesntseemt o work =(

sorry bloose, all I have found to work is regular contact and soft speech. Time will tell wether he/she will mellow or not and some just never calm down.

i have an awd that act's the same way, "lana", she is in the same viv with a CWD "lex", the 2 of them are day and night... i cant put my hand in the tank with out lana running for cover.. where as lex wants my hand in the tank so he can get out and roam around hassle free hehe. but i'm trying to handle lana more and more.. and nothing seems to work for her.. i would like to konw if there is anything else i "we" could to to tame them more. i guess u would say
