Can you make some symbol, such as an arrow point to the folder, just to show us that we have posts in that thread. This is so we can keep track of all our questions and threads we are interested in

When you make a post if you want to know if someone makes one on the same post simply check the box on the posting message section that says
Check this if you wish to be notified of replies to this topic....
You can check this whenever you make a posting somewhere....
Otherwise the indicator is the {NEW} that is on the post when you open a board the new will be there on posts you have yet to read...
Although I know from personal use that they can reappear on posts that you have read when you do things like delete cookies etc....
Otherwise there really are not settings to change on the forum to give any more indication than what you already have...

I would like to see something on the threads that just indicates which threads I have taken part of because I have a super bad memory and if I ever miss somebodies answer to one of my stupid questions hehehe well they may think me rude for not thanking them

as I said when you create a post just check the box to be notified of replies that is about the only way you will know
otherwise you just need to read all the threads marked NEW
there really is nothing else that marks them and no functions to show it differently for each person

Not sure about this set up here but another board I am on has just a small dot that appears on the message folders if you have posted in them, so when you look through the lists you see a dot and you know you posted in it at some point in time. Maybe they just have a different set up, I thought it was standard issue LOL goes to show what I know eh

Is it another proboard?? Or a board hosted on a different type of site??
I have looked repeatedly at the admin functions on here and the only thing I can really change are the already available markers... Like I changed the one for the NEW messages... But there is no way to indiviualize which NEW ones you have posted to prior or anything like that... If it says new then chances are there is a new post to it or your personal cookies or whatever were reset... As to remembering which post you posted to other than marking that you are notified of any replies to a post there is nothing I can see that alters it on this board...

I love it! The new NEW sign is a wiggly little NEW lizard ;D
Anyhow folks. There is other board software, namely: Invision board (bayou beasts) and Vbulletin (Reptile Forums) that allow you to see which threads you are participateing in. Unfortunately the proboard software (current revison anyhow) like that used here and at patricks iguans and herps does not allow for that functionality. This may change in the near future with software upgardes to proboards though so keep tuned. Untill then we all have to wing it, or if its really impotant, allow email notification. ;D

I am waiting for the admin programmer of the other board to get back to me on if he knows anything that could be used here for helping out. He is a programmer and has been very helpful in the past, might take some time during the holiday season but hopefully he can get back to me soon.
