Hi all, My Dragon Pooka has done this for a while and I would like to know why. When I spray a rock near her or spray her when she is near her rock arch she will run up on the rock and rub her check and snout area on the rock. It seems almost like she is itching or something.. anyone have any idea why she would do this? Or have a similar experience?

Yes whenever I spray Zippy when I'm done she runs into her water bowl and does the same thing Pooka does. Put I just noticed she only does it when she is shedding, so maybe Pooka is finally shedding.

Yep, mine do this as well when they are getting ready to shed. (They are BD's) My little one doesn't like to be sprayed but will run to a rock that I spray to rub on it just like your Pooka does. I also have a Uromastyx that is having a hard time shedding, he doesn't like the spray bottle and will run to his hide box whenever I spray anything in his cage. So to help him out, I put some water or shed-ease on my fingers and rub his head and snout area, he loves it and rubs against my hand like a cat would.

My wd scratches his head with his hind feet when he is in the water. Have you seen any others do this?

When ours are in the water, they take thier back legs and start scratching their head. They also like to detach our filter from the side so they can rub thier stomach on it.

LOL-that's too funny about the filter! I am sure you appreciate that, since you have to re-attach it! Mine scratch up a storm when they get in the pool. The amount of skin 3 WD's can displace is amazing. When I skim out the pool I catch it in my fish net! I have seen your 2 CWD on repticzone. Post some pics of your 2 on this forum so everyone can see how beatiful they are!

I have never run into much skin in the girls pool, maybe it is because their pet gold fish. I thought they would eat it when I put it there but they seem to have made a pet out of him. He swim around them when they soak

After showering my dragon he likes to rub up against his tree too and the funniest thing to see is him trying to scratch his head with a back leg while standing with the tree in the way along his ribs he is a character thats for sure.
