We took Blue to the Vet today, He has a Respiratory Infection. Doc gave him a antibiotic injection, and sent antibiotics home with us, he will get 1 drop by mouth 2X a day for 4-5days. He also got "wormed". We took Puff along with us and he got a clean bill of health and "wormed" also. Blue also started his first shed since I have had him. (which I hope is a good sign). After he gets to calm down after our trip to the Vet I am going to give him a nice warm bath to help. Thanks for all your support, Have a great Holiday! =)

Sorry about the respiratory infection. The antibiotics and additional humidity should help with that! The worming is a good idea. I think I need to do mine soon. Mery Christmas!

I sure hope the antibiotics help poor lil fella, I just feel awful! I am spraying their home about every hour to keep the humidity high. He seems to be more active since his bath lastnight. (althought he was terrifed while being in the tub). You should have seen how cute it was.. he was scared and paddling around tryin to find a place to get up on, and he went straight for Puff. Would NOT let go until he got back into his Viv. Puff didnt seem to mind a bit. I am glad to see Blue is more active the last 18 hours. He actually is not hiding! I also got a lil tiny dropper to start pushin liquids. Thanks for your concern! =) How often do they need to be wormed?

I have a book on reptile parasites and from what I've read (along with a little input in between the lines) I think it is a good idea to worm them once per year. In nature, as long as they are receiving adequate nutrition, heat and light they can keep their "parasitic load" in balance and remain healthy. Being kept in captivity and in enclosed spaces allows the potential for the parasites to be introduced more frequently and repeatedly and get overloaded in the system. The meds are available at 1800petmeds and I have a dosage chart in the book. Mine have never been wormed and I have been seriously considering it for the past month. I guess I better.
