I'm sure other members will be along to share some of the specifics but if I recall correctly silkworms and butterworms are some of the more nutritiously balanced insects for a water dragon with decent ratios of phosphorous to calcium. I am an advocate of feeding a wide variety of things, but research is showing these are the better foods. The feeder forum at the top of the boards may have lots more info about this, would suggest a look there also.

Really good as a treat but try not to use them as a main food source as I have read they are very fattening much like McDonalds is to me LOL Like Pooka I also believe in feeding as many different things to my dragon as possible to since many people agree they get bored with food and will just stop eating it

Thats true my girls won't touch crickets at the moment. They are on a King and Meal worm kick, I have silkworm eggs I will be trying to hatch soon, (wish me luck). And I'm trying to figure out a good place to get butterworms I heard they are used for fishing in Michigan so hopefully I will find a bait store with them. Shipping cost just seem so exorbitant to me. And they won't even look at a wiggly worm (red? nitecrawler? type).
