anyone give me some advice I think zippo is full of eggs she is like a barrel she has laid eggs before which weren't fertile but I really want to know is do they slow down and become less active when they are ready to lay as last time there wasn't any signs before she laid her eggs and really I had only had her for a few months and was still getting use to her she is with a male and he has been chasing her but the past week she just sits on the waterfall most of the day it has a fogger in it and at first I was worried that she would burn herself but as the fogger is covered she is fine.she is still eating not as much as usual any advice would be much appreciated asI don't want to lose her as I lost dweezle a couple of months ago I am going to make an appointment at the vet asap

She will slow down, be off-feed and she should start digging a few "test" holes until she finds an appropriate spot to lay. Do you have a laying box or an area whre you have at least 6-8 inches of damp substrate? Right before she is ready to lay you should be able to feel small marble size bumps in her abdomen. Kiley posted sme info on reproduction in the general forum. Might want to read up on it. Good luck. Sorry about Dweezle. I hadn't heard that he pased away. So sorry.

I have read several articles\posts where they mention that if the female knows the eggs are infertile she'll lay them out in the open or in the water. One owner found an egg on one of her entertainment center shelves while dusting. LOL Just watch her to make sure there aren't more eggs that she can't lay.

Yes, still provide the laying box and soem private time. Water Dragons usually lay clucthes of 4+ eggs at a time even if not fertile. 1 would be an unusuallly small number of eggs, I bet she is still holding onto some or has hidden them away from you. Keep us posted.
