I spent most of last night disinfecting Sobe's enclosure and taking out the substract. After I cleaned the tank, I put down reptile carpet, changed the water, and cleaned all the other objects in the cage and then set it up like it was before because I was planning to get a new dragon in maybe a week or so. This morning when I woke up, my mom surprised me with a new dragon. He is no way replaces Sobe, but it was a very nice surprise. She got him from Petsmart and he is very healthy, a little stressed at the moment, but otherwise very healthy. He is around a foot long STL. He has a minor scar on his back. None of his legs are swollen and he is extremely active. He is still unnamed so suggestions are welcome. I'm not sure on the sex so preferably unisex names.

Sounds like you have a great mom! Cleaning and disinfecting the cage was a good start for your new dragon. Sounds like yur mom found an older dragon. I think they a little more hardy than a hatchling. Your best bet is to have a vet check and fecal exam done. (collect a fecal sample and refrigerate it up to 24 hrs. B-4 the vet appt.) That way you know he's healthy to start with and you shouldn't have any problems.
I like Jade, Kiwi, Verde, Fu T'Su Lang for names!

He is beginning to destress a little I think. I've only had him for a few hours and already he has eaten 10 crickets...he is still a little brown, but not as much as this morning. I will post pics once I get a chance to borrow dad's digital camera.

I'm glad you "got right back on the horse" so to speak and adopted another water dragon. A foot long would indicate a 8 months or so I believe. Glad to hear he/she is also in goo dhealth, keep us posted.

She was yawning....she has her moments, like when she is yawning, when she looks possessed or something
