A call for help

Hello all,
I received an email on the water dragons mailing list early today about an owner named mark who is haveing some issue with his adult pair of dragons. Posted below in it's entireity is a direct copy of that mail. Let's see what we can do to help mark out wether it be by adopting or helping to find a suitable, safe home.

This evening, my male attacked my female dragon, not in the typical mating
fashion, but instead biting her on the snout. I intervened immediately, but
she has a cut both above and below her mouth. I have been in the process of
finding a good home and shipment arrangements for my dragons for some time
now, but have not found a suitable home in the area to date. I have an
adoptee in Michigan that I cannot seem to arrange shipping for, which is
unfortunate as he would make a fantastic home for my dragons. I also have a
potential home in the Okanagan who has a small tank and can house him, but
if there is a keeper in the province with a proper sized setup and/or and
existing collection, I would be interested in hearing from you.

I am out of town for a while over Christmas, and have arranged for proper
care of the dragons while I am gone, but I cannot leave them while he is
attacking her. I need to find a home for him ASAP. I live in Vancouver,
BC, Canada and both of my dragons are in excellent health (save for her
cuts).

Please respond to the list or email me directly at [e-mail] if you
can offer any help at all. This has been an escallating problem and I am
not looking for a temporary home for him. I have pictures available if
anyone would like them.

We don't live in Canada. Infact we live in the southern USA. If he didn't want to much, we would be interested in a female. We need another female. We don't need any males though. We have 3 males.

I am in Alberta and looking for more dragons...

I have 1 48 gallon tank and a similar sized mesh reptarium, not to mention I already have the additional power tools under the xmas tree so I can build my dragon a bigger enclosure too so I would just go even larger is all.

One of the guys on my other forum in Canada said you can use someone called "West Jet" to ship the reptile. Please use the email link and contact the owner if you are interested. At least Alberta is in the same Province!

Actually Dragosmom Alberta and BC are different provinces hehehe but we are right next to each other.

A flight on westjet from Vancouver to Calgary is no more than an hour and with all shipping routines might be 3-4 hours and the box would be here, not to mention WestJet is also very cheap but I don't know about live reptile shipping...would have to check into that and then Mark could inform me when the plane should touch down and I could be waiting right at the desk.

I had AWOL my my dragon flown in from Ontario, I cannot remember which airline, might have been WestJet then too.

Oooops, sorry about my geography mistake. I knew that Banff was in Alberta not B.C. and that they were different provinces. Brain fart is common in 50+ age Chinese Water Dragon owners! LOL Sorry-no offense meant. Jake on the other forum mentioned that West Jet was the only carrier he could find that would do live animals. that's why I passed it along.

I have been in email correspondence with Mark and he says he may have a host on the west coast close to him and I have also left my door open to his Dragons too.

I am on the hunt for a good sized female for my guy.

Dragosmom--- If you have any pictures of your dragon you would like made into a signature feel free to email them to me at [e-mail] and I will see what I can do for you, as for the way mine shows up it is very easy because it is just a transparent background, a picture and a name hehehe.

Thank you for the offer! You have no idea how computer challenged I am. If it were not for Pooka I don't know how I would have survived my first week on this forum. He has been a tremendous tutor and helps me learn to do things myself. Thanks fopr getting in touch with the other owner. At least he has a back-up in case the W. Coast taker falls through.

I just found out that one of the pet store clerks I deal with also deals in dragons and has a female.

Going to try to contact her and see if she wants to try some introductions Never know what could happen hehehe
