The 2 New Rescues

Hello Everyone,

Nobody seems to be eating yet and Draco is switching to mealworms and waxworms now. The 2 new rescues hid yesterday and when I peeked in the cage today, they both ran and hid. I'm afraid to disturb them so I don't stress them out more. I talked to my vet and she said they were just used to her and they should get used to me. But she said to give her a call on Saturday to let her know how they are doing.I hope they eat soon.

Sounds like the new sorroundings have them stressed. It can take a week or two for them to get used to it, all dragons are different some are easily bothered by new digs and others are not. Pooka for example seems as if she could care less what side of the room her cage is on and how the cage decor is arranged. BUt I have heard of dragons going off food for a week just becuase a branch was placed back in a different place.

Seems like a lot of people say there dragons stress easily. Cronus never really has and tho Perseus did at first I guess she took the clue from Cronus cause I am always changing there cage. Even Circe seems to accept the movin things tho she still is apt to teleport the min she sees me. Cronus and Perseus only seem to get upset when I go in the cage and step on their tails. I don't understand why after all they run and stick their tails under my feet, I'm sure on purpose just so they can look at me like Cruel Cruel woman

I don't recall Awol ever really stressing out, now just turning out right aggresive hehe thats another matter

Baloo was VERY stressed when I got him/her. although now he/she never stresses! Puff I have not ever seen stressed. Time is always needed to get settled in.. sometimes a few weeks. Dont worry too much, give it time.
