Hi all. I was wondering whether anyone had info on using philadendren (sp), plants in a viv? I see some people recommend them and others say they are poisonous? If they are not suitable for a Viv, any ideas on something else that develops simlar "vines" and is hearty enough to be used as a junglegym?

Funny u should mention that. I was re-reading Tricia's site this a.m. on another matter and she has both pothos and philadendron in her viv. I also couldn't find them on my list of non-toxic plants but she is an expert and lists the link for another list under the description of plants she has in her viv. Hope this helps!

I just checked and on my list they are not toxic.

Could you please post the list of non toxic plants for us?
Im interested in adding some real plants to the viv and it would be a great help!

Actually, Tricia has a list of sites that list poisonous plants www.icomm.ca/dragon/mischerp.htm#toxic. Once you find out the scientific name go to these sites and look them up. If you don't find it then it's not poison. |
