Fairly new owner of a 8-10 inch cwd. How old? The pet shop told me a little under a year, which I tend to doubt. I am going away for 10? days and have someone lined up to watch the wd. Are there any types of food that will keep for 10 days? . It is nice enough for the people to watch it,dont want to make them go out for food everyday. Also I found instead of washing outdoor sticks/twigs in a bleach solution...stick them in a pre-heated 400 degree oven for 10 min. Watch very carefully !!! They can catch fire !!! Shut off the oven after 10 min Leave the sticks in for about another hour just to be safe. Thanks, sorry about the rambeling

I use glass "custard" bowls. You can put some mealies, superworms or butter worms in them. Dust the insects and put some oatmeal or cricket food in with them and put them in the frig. Each one lasts 48-72 hrs. at viv temperatures and then should be emptied and disinfected before using it again. If you leave a couple of these made up in the frig for your dragon sitter, your dragon should be fine. Just ask the sitter to change the water in the water bowl daily. I also put some crix in my viv last year when I went away for a week. Put a small lid of cricket quench and some cricket food in the viv for them.

I keep superworm in a plastic ice cream pail right on top of Awols tank... throw a few veggies in there with them and they will last for a long time at room temps too.
Regular mealies and giants at room temps will transform to puppa stage wich is a nice white and Awol loves to snak on them too mind you he will eat just about anything I toss in front of him hehhe

Dragosmom has a great solution for your particular dragon I think. Superworms keep for a long time at room temps but would be a bit large for your dragon. My dragon, Pooka, is almost 11 inches and she is 6 months old, so I would guess yours at 5 or 6 months.

Pooka, you can order supers in diffferent sizes. The smallest might not work for a hatchling, but a juvie can definitely eat the small ones. Of course, fo rmy pigs I by the largest available. LOL I have recently discovered a few "mori" beetles climbing around my viv and the dragons don't seem to desire eating them in beetle form! Pretty ugly looking, but harmless!
