Hi, I don't get on the site much like I used to but I do try to read the threads whenever I get a chance. I wanted to share some pics of my guys and Zilla's new viv. I don't know how to post them here so I'll just provide a link to it. I have a great video shot of the viv (have no clue how to post that at all) and with the water going it sounds like you are outside by a stream or something. Anyways, let me know what you think. photobucket.com/albums/v665/cmoosey/

Thanks. He does love his jacuzzi. It's heated too so it's just the right temp for him. ;D
Actually it's insulation board. I burned it with a torch (outside of course), hot glued some pieces on top of it to give it a 3-D look, painted it with 4(?) different colors, and sealed it. I couldn't afford a rock wall but wanted the effects of one. Plus it helps keep heat in. ;D I guess Zilla thinks it looks like rock too because he started scaling the darn wall yesterday.

I don't really know what insulation board is... but is it safe? Like non-toxic? I know that pink stuff that goes up in attics is like really bad and I was just wondering if it's the same stuff.
What type of tree did you cut the branches from? DId you peel/shave off the bark? Nice enclosure.

Thanks. The rolls of insulation that goes in your attic are different than the insulation board. The board comes in 4x8 sheets. By burning it there are no loose fibers. You do want to do it in a well ventilated area though. I got the idea off the web where someone else was using it in their bearded dragons cages. The branches are maple. We did strip the branches and scrub them with bleach water. They dried for about 2 months after that since they are large. One is 6' long and about 3-4 inches around and the other is about 5' long and is anywhere from 2-3 inches around.

Well, of course, being the lucky web surfer that I am, I got an "Emergency 5 minute Photobucket maintenance" screen instead of your viv and the gang, so I'll have to remark upon it and praise it's construction at a later date after I get to see it!
Where the heck have you been? We've missed your participation! Great to hear everything and everyone is well and growing!

Where the heck have you been? We've missed your participation! Great to hear everything and everyone is well and growing! lol Life has been VERY busy lately. Not only am I doing one viv but I'm actually doing 3. Tude's is now getting remodeled (Zilla's old viv) and I've been in the process of building a new and bigger one for our 2 leo's - soon to be 3 leo's. Hopefully I can start to get back on track now that one is already done and another will be done by next weekend. Thanks. Everyone is doing great and getting bigger. Hopefully you can see the pics soon. Tude is camera shy and doesn't like his pic taken so he was laying flat but I thought he could suck it up long enough to get a couple done. lol He was happy once I put the camera down. He perked right up again.

The only real plant I have is the fern that's hanging in the front to the right. Zilla would trample all the rest so I had to get fake. 6 and 9 foot vines at Wal-Mart for $3 each...can't beat that. I drilled holes into branches and put fake ferns down on the bottom for him to jump into (which he does do).

Insulation board is in the same department as rolls of insulation. It comes in different types. Note: if you try this...do not get the fire retardent one if you want to melt it. lmao I need to learn to read!

Saw the pics! Zilla's viv is AWESOME. And little 'tude is looking great, but I can tell how shy she is from her dragon "crouch". Drago does the same thing when I have her out until she mellows. Good luck with all of your projects. Post 'tude's new viv when it has been redone and stay in touch!

Thanks. That viv has been in the making for a long time now. I'll continue to add things here and there but for now we're done. I'll be sure to post pics of Tude's when it's done. It's funny we were just talking about Tude's gender on the WD mailing list. You called Tude a she and all this time I've been saying he. He/She is just now coming to the age where I should start seeing seconadry characteristics (if any will develop). I have a feeling I'm going to have to start saying Ms. Tude instead of Mr. Tude. lol I guess I was hoping for a boy.

Tude looks good, Thanks for sharing the pics. Your viv project has my brain running overtime for design ideas on my final viv design. Again, thanks for sharing.
