The picture is really washed out. Michael Spears (the owner of sapphire dragon ranch) breds for a high blue content in the skin color. Dragons come out of the wild a myriad of colors ranging from almost black to almost white and all kinds of yellows, blues and green in between. He takes dragons with high blue content and breds with other dragons with that trait. Its really hard to catch on camera but Pooka is a high blue content dragons as well. although I doubt she is as blue as a Sapphire dragon. Trust me its a very noticeable difference in coloration in person. Now worth $300..... who is to day. They are captive bred so you'll likely save that much in vet bills in the first few years. Best of luck.

There different to the greens because of the colour of them and they have clear nails. The Blues are a true genetic variant much like Albinism. Xanthinism is the scientific name of this Morph . Dan

What other color do toenails come in? Just curious, because Charlies are "regular" color, not any noticeable shade, and I was wondering.

to me the Sapphire, looks like a normal water dragon with a grayish, or duller green with light spots in it, if you look at it that way you may notice the difference

Well, it is very hard to tell from such a small picture. You should try to get more than one picture, from more than one angle.. From this picture only, I don't see any peculiar color. But this dragon is very beautiful anyway
