Is he breathing?? What color is he??? Could something have happened while you were gone??
If you think he is dehydrated you need to take him to the bath room.. to the tub or sink.. and give give a nice soak in the bathtub... try and get fluids in him.
Can you give anymore detail on whats going on??

i dont know if something happened while we were gone it was only 2 hours.. he was fine, when i went in and found him his colors were normal.. but his eyes looked sunken in.. he was barely breathing. i put him in the tub for 2 hours constantly refreshing the water. got some fluids in him. and he didnt make it thru the night

I did kick myself in the butt going over and over did i do something wrong... what did i miss. but there was nothing.. he was eating fine.. showed no signs of anything.. i think it will be awhile before i get a new one.. my daughter since he was her birthday present after crying hysterically all night wanted a new pet the next day. we disenfected everything and have a bearded dragon. she realized that hes easier for her to hold.. only i could hold our water dragon. he didnt like anyone else to much. he would take off running from them. i want a new one. but i think it will be awhile before i can do it

Awww, so sorry to hear!!! Water Dragons hide their illnesses so well.
Beardies are a good choice, and easier to care for. Hugs!!

I am so very sorry to hear about your loss. Its hard losing one of our babies. I know this all too well.. I lost our beloved 2yr old Waterdragon Puff Dec 19th. Its so hard when all the sudden they become so ill.
I am glad you decided to get another baby.. I have never had a beardie but think they are wonderful lil creatures. Keep us posted on how your new lil one is doing.
I wish you the very best and once again.. Im sorry for your loss.
