my wd storm has a strange lumps on her next it feels like a mass of water and she doesnt seem to be in any pain wiv it but she does swallow very hard every so often see pictures   i have notised this for a couple of days now it did go down but came bk up please ask if u need more info thanks manda xx |

Hi Manda, my water dragons also get an almost 'adams apple' after they eat or drink large amounts. This lump feels somehwat soft and squishy and can be pushed around a bit. It eventually goes down though and never is an overnight occurence. Are you seeing this as a standing overnight symptom or does it come and go? If its come and go I would not worry about it but if its continually there I'd see a vet just to be sure. Keep us posted.

yer it was there the other day so i saoked her in the bath n it went but has come bk i am going to fone the vet tomorro see if i can book her in on tues or maybe even sat as i dnt get paid till fri !!! there is only 1 reptile vet where i live so i really dnt hope it will be a long wait. my mate said she mite just be getting it because she is getting ready to breed (althou she has never been wiv a male as far as i no) and could be a jewlap?  manda xx |

Like I said in the previous post if it comes and go's at different times it likly is just her dewlap (I think thats what its called), my dragons do it as well (maybe once a day after fedding) so I would not worry about it. If its there very often and continually like some kind of growth or swelling of tissue get her to the vet as soon as your budget allows. Keep in mind some vets will let you bring the animal in and bill you, its worth asking about when you set up the appointment. Good luck.

i woke up this morning and it looked fine then it came bk again just before feeding time so im thinking it may just be her dewlap il keep an eye on it thou if it gets any worse then il ring the vet up and book her in as it the xmas hols i cant see me getting her in anytime soon anyways. thanks so much for the advise
