ok basically i got a new plumed baslisk off my freind who emigrated to australia it was all arranged quite quickly and anyway it ended up me getting his plumed . the plumed is very healthy in fact he looks in perfect conditon but anyway . i measured my cwd and the plumed and the cwd measures 7 and a half inches snout to vent and the plumed is 6 inches snout to vent . anyway im currently keeping the plumed in a small reptarium but it just isnt big enough for him and doesnt have the amount of water he needs to have a good soak so..... since the wd and plumed are basically the near on ecxact same size do you think they would be ok in together for like 2 months until my big ass wd cage is finished ? i have a worriy tho . this seems unlikely but anyway ... what if the wd and plumed become mates and i need to eventually split them up ? the cage im planning on putting them together in is 6 foot long 3 foot deep and 6 foot tall anyway help and advice wud be much appreciated thankx

i would think this is ok aslong as they arnt both males as they would fight try putting them in together but keep an eye on them if 1 of them gets stresed then you would have to split them up. i really dont see it being a problem if they require same temps/humidity give it a go as you dont no untill you try really and good luck xx

Personally I advocate against mixing species because I like to error on the safe side. There is the possibilty of fighting and territory aggresion. That being said, I have seen several folks who keep them in the same enclosure successfully by providing doubles and triples of all needed resources (basking sposts, water area etc). Best of luck to you, oh and I agree the plumed is a magnificeint animal.
