Im posting on here because atm I cannot access repticzone as they have banned me for some reason. Today my WD died. Ive been taking good care of her and everything but she just wouldnt eat after her shed. I put her in the sink to give her a bath today and she swam around a bit and even ate a cricket! She then uninated in the water so I let it out and went to refill it. When I did that she started clomping around and stuff and then it seemed like she played dead. I picked her up and she still layed limp. I put her back in the water and she was walking around like her front legs were paralyzed. I picked her up again and put her back in the water. This time she just layed there in the water, head under, and just wriggled her tail. I immediately pulled her out of the water and held her thinking she was playing and that she'd snap out of it. Its been a good 20 mins now and she keeps opening and closing her eyes but I think its just muscular "Spasms". Is she dead? Or is she scared? Paralyzed from something? How can I tell if she's actually dead? I think she is but Id hate to bury a live dragon!

I'm sorry to hear about your dragon, I have not lost one yet so I cannot tell you if it was death throes or not, my guess probably not as your description depicts major motor function and not muscle spasms related to the nervous system. However, something was seriously wrong. I've gleaned from your other posts that the situation got worse and you have since buried her... I'm sorry for your loss. There is no 100% way to tell what the cause was without a necropsy, especially if she was fine leading up to this strange event. I wish you well and hope your heart mends quickly, these little guys and gals sure have a way of wrapping themselves into the life of each of us.
