Hi there,
I am aware that my dragon has internal parasites. I bought him a month ago, and except that, he's wonderful. I took a meeting with an exotic vet and i'll get him tested. I was wondering, is there any agi limit to successfully survive the treatment? My dragon is only 4 months old, but even if he's very in shape and not skinny at all, active and has bright colors, im scared that he wont survive. I know the vet will tell me, but while i wait until that appointment, can any of you guys assure me that even at 4 months, it's probably easy for him to handle the medications?
Thanks, Roxane

My female was younger then that when she got her first dose of meds for parasites. I don;t think there is a 'too young' so much as a 'too weak'. The vet will know for sure and it may also be dependent on th eparasite and treatment.

Aah, yes, this is rassuring. He told me to bring him to see if he was strong enough, and I think he clearly is, he looks so in shape no one could tell he's parasited with a look. (I actually found a worm in one of his poop...ew) But thanks Pooka

Hi guys! I just wanted to tell you that my lizard got its medecine now, and the vet was very proud of how very good looking was my little one. I went to a herp specialized clinic and when she saw it she said that he had amazing colors and a big belly, he looked totally top shape for a parasited lizard. Also, she was surprised by how developped his femoral pores were for his age and that maybe it would go for a male. I wish it too =) He's on panacur now, and he takes it wonderfully. He had nematods, which are hooks worms and I studied about them already so at least he was only infected by one kind. I knew he was because i found one in one of his poop, and i was terrified 0_0
well, that's all. I'm quite happy how everything is turning out and how lucky I am to be able to reach for a specialized vet in bus!
