i have two CWD. both are very young i think they were born in january. i have a very large cage for them and the ground is bark. when i feed them they take pieces of the bark in their mouth and eat it. i tried putting them in a separate cage but they wouldnt eat cuz they were scared how do i stop it because right now i have to try to hand feed them which doesnt always work

use a longer bark I have the same problem and next week I am getting the longer stuff cause they will still grab it but it`s too long so they will spit it out..

Try getting a bowl from Exoterra. They are great to feed your CWD i. I had the same problem for a while but using the large bowl definitely helps.

Other than the fact that this is an older thread . .
Dragons should be kept on repti-carpet up until around one year of age for that exact reason. Be sure to burn the edges so that s/he doesn't ingest threads from fraying edges.
