As its not part of their natural diet and not nearly as much herptologicalk work has been done on thew aussie as compared to the beardie I would advise against this. I would stick the to prescribed diet of insects and plant matter. I'm sure some may have gotten away with feeding there dragons like this but I would rather tell you not too and you end up feeding them what they normally eat then tell you to give it a try and your aussie get sick. Hope that helps.

Yes if it close price ise and you would have to buy both of them (don't have beardie chow lying around) no sense at all in moving away from the tried and true bug diet of the Aussie or Asian Water Dragons in my opinion.

The diet of aussie water dragons is simialar to that of the bearded dragons... i.e lots of crix etc as a juvenille and a 90% - 10% vegetable diet as a adult this is true isnt it??
