I have often read people asking for 'pictures of adult water dragon' or 'someone please show me a female', etc, and I thought it would be beneficial if we share the pictures that we have. People who have any pictures they'd like to share (not necessarily of their own) or just ones they've seen. I'll just post a few that were taken on a video camera when I was in Brisbane. These are wild ones so they are in their natural environment. (They are poor quality as they are from video camera) I think this is a great specimen. Looks 2 years old or so to me. This is the largest Water Dragon i've ever seen. I'm sorry it's not a very good quality picture. This happened when we scared it out of its area - head bobbing followed. This is probably the best quality picture. It has interesting colouration. Finally, here's one that is probably around 3 years old, again, not such a good quality picture.

Hydra: Have you been to wet'n'wild theme park. They have a colony of water dragons living under the decking area. I saw a massive maybe 3 1/2 foot water dragon basking right next to a table where people where sitting. I think there is a picture of a massive AWD in one of the threads on this forum, i htink the thread is titled is this a aussie water dragon or something along those lines. I dont have any saved pics of adult water dragons or any for that matter other than the pics of my own

Dragosmom: Indeed it is. I probably saw around 100 of them in various locations around Brisbane.
Spike: Actually no, I only went to Seaworld and Movieworld. I've heard Dreamworld's good though. I don't think I'll be going back to Brisbane for some years yet...
I saw one as I was leaving Movie world and people were crowded around it and asking "Is that an iguana?". Seems as though people in their own country don't know what they are. They could have been tourists though.
Yes, I've seen the big dragon on the site, but I think iif the one I saw still had its tail fully in tact, it would have been between 3 1/2 and 3 3/4 feet long. Its body was around 40cm. As you an see by the pale colour, it is probably pretty old. The one in the other thread still has a lot of colour left, so its probably younger than the one here.

Thanks, Pooka. Yep, these are wild dragons taken at the Mt. Cootha Botanical Gardens, 4 or 5 kms or so west of the Brisbane city centre. They were all around a lake, and I thought it may be a good idea to post them here. In Brisbane and Queensland, they are very common creatures and are found in many places. I'm sure Chinese Water Dragons in the wild would be a sight to behold. Never been to China though.
