Does anyone have any husbandry information on the Merten's Water Monitor. I am pretty interested in them and depending on the cost and husbandry requirements i would love to get one or two

Thanks for tryin ACE13, i really appreciate that!! It is very hard to find any GOOD husbandry info on this species as they aren that common even in the Australian Reptile 'industry' (where they come from) I dont even think they are available outside Australia

They are available outside AU. A local here in Tucson has them available I think. Most monitors share the same care info, I'll see what I can dig up. Off the top of my head ambient heat in the mid 70's ranging into the mid 80's and a basking arae availabe at 130 surface temp is preferred with a large water area to soak and defectae. Dirt substrate and whole foods, that about covers it. I'll dig up some more info and post.
