I am interested in getting a Snake. We had a ball python at one time, but we sold her because we could not get her to eat. Anyway, I'm looking for a snake that can live in a 30 gallon and that isn't too expensive. Any suggestions?

A milk snake or a king snake would be a good choice. The are usually nice and don’t get extremely big. They also have great color

As Derek said, a milksnake or kingsnake...and also a cornsnake. These snakes are colubrids and dont get very larg at all, they are more of the long/skinny snakes, then(like the ball pythons) short/fat. They are great starter snakes! They all usually cost around $40-60, more depending on color and size. My Nelson's milksnake: And my Snow cornsnake("snow" is the morph):

Yeah i agree with the corn snake, they are easy to handle and maintain, and they arent usually aggressive at all. IMO its one of the best snakes to start off with.
