maybe a little rock wall or something that is reinforced with a little plexi or something of that sort....
I saw someone talking about those dishes that you use when you are using a paint roller to paint how about something like that with the sand being under the lip and they could walk up into the dish part where the water would be....
sand may carry into the water no matter what you do if your herps are tracking it in there

How about a bamboo ladder that was attached to a tub and the tub was attached to the wall with suction cup?

How about just using a cooking tray to keep the sand in place?

oaky let me understand you have a tank and u want sand on the bottom? How big is ur tank? do u have a filter? for my little one i have her ina 3 gal and don't have sand i tried it but it was a mess, i dont have a filter right now but i find it hard to clean it and if she goes to the bathroom the sand hides it. im sure ull find a way. ( i dont have a "bottom" substrate for mine i just have it "bland" but i have rocks and such in there for her to climb and rest on.

wait! i totally read it wrong sorry ignore that post! So you want to make a sepration partion for the turtle to "bask on" that is sand? well i wouldnt suggest sand because after the turtle gets out of the water he'll get sand all over. which happened to me also. I suggest you make a rock plat form. Ive seen that people strilzed bricks and stuff and put them in there. i have a half of block in my turtles tank and a "plastic" thing in there that looks like a rock kinda like the basking rocks from petco but it isnt. Sorry!

hello. the sulcata is really my moms but it is about 2 years old. it is a male. i think it would be cool to breed the sulcatas so in the future i may do that but right now ours is to young and adults that are breeding age are really exspensive. plus i would have to build a room/shead type thing for them because they get so big. i will be building a new cage for our soon any one have ideas for a good inside cage? Cool i have a sulcata too. How old is yours, and is it a male or female?

His diet is basicly grasses and mixed greens such as: alflafa, clover, timothy hay, dandelion greens, romaine lettuce, and fresh grass clippings. Once in a while as a treat I give him strawberries (he loves them), copped carrots, grapes, and cantalope. I rarely ever give him tease, because they aren't very good for him, but if you do give him them in very small amounts (ex. small strawberry, 2 grapes, small cube of melon.)
