hi, this is my first post here. I'm going to be getting a pair of australian water dragons in mid july, but i want to get everything in order before they arrive. I've done loads of research and reading on them. I was wondering if a cage made out of pvc would be okay, I've seen lots of iguana cages made out of it, but not any water dragon, so i wasn't sure. Thanks.

First off, welcome to the board! ;D Now, Here is our cage. We house 4 chinese water dragons and a brown basilisk in it and it is built out of screen and PVC. This was just going to be a temporary cage for us,but it has held up very well.

the only reason you see them used more for iguanas is the humidity factor. CWD and AWD need more humidity than Igs. As long as you can find a solution to the humidity problems, the PVC cage is a great set-up. SKJohnnet has one of the prettiest I've ever seen. I believe she uses a regular "human" type ultrasonic humidifier to help keep her humidity levels up (as do I, even in my non-screen enclosure).
