Alright, I am going to build a viv for Tucker. It's going to be about 5'Lx5'Hx2'D. It's going to be built of treated wood. But I have a few questions about some specifics.
1. How well does the treated wood hold up to the moisture of the viv at recommended humidity?
2. What should I use on the floor as I plan on using soil as a substrate.

i can realy only answer question two for you because the only part of my new gwd cage im building thats made oif wood is the frame , but wat ive done for my floor is to stop liquid bulid up ( i also use soil ) is bought one of those pvc sheets builders use ( they can b bought from most hardware or home depot stores ) and simply cut it a little larger than the floor space and just put my substrate over the top , when the time comes to throw away the old soil due to water loggedness or age you simply pick the whole thing up and chuck it away give the pvc a lil clean an pop it back in the enclosure and add fresh substrate . just to make sure absolutely no water goes onto your floor you can put newspaper underneath the sheeting also .

that's a good idea. I want to out something down there that will keep the moisture out of the wood floor, but won't breakdown over time and contaminate my soil. That should work. I'll stop at the hardware store tomarrow and start pricing them out. Thanks.
