I was wondering if any one else's Iggy wags its ail? and what does it mean? i think it might mean they r mad or scared but I'm not sure. When i try to old my Iggy nemo, she wags her tail, and sometimes does it when I'm in her and Petri's cage cleaning or feeding them or anything. She is a very timid Iggy. She runs from me when ever i get within a foot of her. So I'm gonna try to be taming her soon and wearing gloves so she don't tear up my hands. But she isn't scared of other animals or Petri. Thanks if anyone can help.

It's tail whipping. This is something that Iggy's are very famous for. It's a defense when they are scared, or sometimes when they are angry. It doesn't feel good to be on the receiving end of that LOL.

It may wagging its tail by instinct. It may think you are trying to eat it and it wags its tail to get whatever is attacking it to go for the tail since its not vital. About the tail whipping thing, When i was in Florida, there were tons of wild Iggy's, people would let then free and now there are thousands. I saw a small iguana in plant, so i went over to get it out, (they eat any plant they can in Florida they ate my uncles whole garden lol) it may kill itself be eating a toxic plant. But little did i know, there was a huge iguana, it had to be almost 5 feet long, it was in the bush too, and it tail whipped the crap out of my leg, it left a big red mark thats it. it tried to get me again, but it couldn't. anyway, i never saw it wag its tail before it tried to hit me. There are some HUGE iguanas in Florida, Miami is the farthest north that they live for some reason. So if anyone is going to Miami keep an eye out for iguanas, especially on the roads sadly people just get tired of them and run them over on purpose, a guy in the news paper got sued for shooting iguanas in the head when he saw them. Well i wouldnt be too worried about the tail whip thing until you do get whipped. lol. well good luck.
