Hey Gang, Broke down and rescued the iguana I have been looking at bringing home for a little over a week now. She deserves a good 'forever' home and we decided we'll be that home for her. She has been through a lot and has some burn scars to show for it. The approximation I received was full grown 4 year old female. Here are some photos of the new arrival along with some close ups of her scarring. She is 36 inches snout to tail tip and 13 inches snout to vent. I'll follow up later on in the week once we get her into the vet and get her weight and overall health assessed. Still undecided on the name, the store said no name was left when she was dropped off there. Here she is overall length From the rear First meal in the new home, yum, collard greens and endive/escarole Licking her lips, looks like she is smiling Enjoying some fresh air & afternoon sun Her section of the office One of the few smaller scars/skin abnormalities The large scar/skin abnormality I don't have much data on the scars, the staff at our store said they are pretty certain they are burn wounds from some time ago. I'll have the vet look at them and have solicited some other folks to look at them just to make sure they are on the mend for sure as I have never dealt with a reptile burn before. She is a sweety and we are glad to have her in our home.
