CWD & Iguana pix aka My girls :)

[glow=red,2,300]Thats Petri my almost 5 yr old CWD and Nemo my new baby Iggy Arent they so cute together? they get along so well and of course i monitor them daily. normally they just sleep next to each other but last night they were like this and i had to show my girls off!![/glow]

I thought that the habitat conditions for Iggs and CWD were markedly different. I've never heard of anyone keeping these 2 different species together.

I looked into it and did reseach and asked my friend who's a reptile expert at the petstore i but my supplies from. He told me its ok especially since the Iggy is so young and i just make sure that they dont share foods, which they wont cuz my CWD only will eat worms for some reason now n dont even want crix n when they are done eating i take the food out n offer it again later. and if for some reaon im not home, my dad will monitor them n everything for me, so they are constantly monitored. They both need high humidity so that works too. n my tank is pretty big, its my closet.... so the Iggy has plenty of room to grow. more pix of my tank and stuff is on my webpage

I'm prety sure Igs and Wds have rather similar habitat conditions ( I suppose Elizabeth may have some good input for that assumptiom of mine) its the diet issues that are very different. An ig cannot have animal proteins (ie Meat) as there digestive systems are not streamlined for that. Also Igs have radical behavior patterns compared to WDs, males can be especailly deviant and 'pushy' especially during mating season. There are a few things to consider for sure, cute pics none the less. Why is Pertri's mouth open? Is nemo crushing her?

I also was told i forget by who or maybe i read it somewhere, that CWD and Iggy's a distant like cousins or something like that. but ne ways lol When petri is mad or sometimes for no reason she opens her mouth, when i took these pix it was at like 5am and i had to turn on there light or it and open there door which is pretty noisy,but nemo didnt wake up, she sleeps thru ne thing, but petri just kinda opened her eyes n mouth n just chillin n looked pretty for the camera. She opens her mouth alot. My mom always asks y she does it too. I know they do it to release heat but her tank was like 72 degrees when the pic was taken, its just cuz i woke her up she got mad lol.
