he is getting about 30-50 small sized crickets a day. im going to feed him a pinkie, as soon as i get it this week

thats a nice looking monitor what size cage is he in i might consider getting one of those or another type of monitor some time ;D

Wow thats alot of insects. Sounds like maybe you ought to get a bit bigger crickets or possibly some roaches (some call them woodies). Pinkies are excellent food source for them but you have to be sure the temps are right. I'm sure you know all this stuff I just was scuriosu what he was eating amount wise. Thanks again for sharing.

The only reason he is still on small crickets is because of my newest lizards can only eat small still and it is easier and cheaper to buy one big bulk pack of small insects rather than buying a couple of tubs of medium and small. Im pretty sure the temps are almost perfect for him, so there shouldn't be a problem Ace13: He is in a 4' 18" 18" glass enclosure. I think the minimum for an adult is 4'2'2', i plan to have him into a (with a partner ) ) 6'2'2' by the start of next year
