ok, i was wandering if getting a juvenile beardie would be a good idea if he/she was to share vivarium with my EWD, i thought i had beardies all figured out i thought they are pretty much a smaller version of EWD but apprently not, so i need quick help b4 i get one!! is it a good idea to mix them? i hear they get along! huge appetite? how big is big..and why cant i feed them meal worms? i find cricket hard to feed to my EWD (hard to get out of the packet..) any other care i should look out for that applies to beardies? i want a beardie because i understand they are much more tolerable of humans than WD is this true? Name?? my WD is named Nibbler, im thinking Spiky or Broomstick for my beardie (yes i love funny random names!) thx -F.E.C

I am not an expert on beardies by any means but know a bit about them and happen to own one myself. While true beardies are known for being more toleratent of us then EWD all mileage will vary with the beardies personality. The do have large appetites and 40-60 crickets a day to every other day is common. Personally, I would advocate about keeping them togther unless you can observe all the proper quarentine procedures and also provide a huge cage that allows them both their own sub habitats (ie multiple climate zones, basking spots, watering points etc).
