I have only had Liz since Sunday-She has been fed with crickets so far and I know that they should get a variety in their diet. Which fruits/veggies would you guys recommend? I tried giving her mealworms and she turned up her nose at them. I think I have a fussy eater on my hands! P.S. I don't know exactly how old she is but shes about 3 inches long(not counting her tail)

HI, LL71! Your little lizard is probably not going to eat much in the way of fruits/veggies if she follows the typical dragon profile. Aussie's are more prone to eat them than Chinese. IF you want to try a few things: kiwi, strawberry, banana, fresh/frozen peas, and dandelion or other fancy salad greens. You're probably better off just feeding the salad greens to your crickets as gutload and then feeding the nice plump crix to your little dragon.

I agree with DM on this one, I cannot get my dragons to eat greens or fruits. Heck lately they won't eat anything except for specific items, meal/super worms for pooka, and wax worms with the occasional small cricket for skittle. Spoiled things....

Thanks for the answers. She seems to like crickets only for now and she only will eat 1 or 2 daily(if that) She doesn't look skinny or anything and her activity level is good. Should I be worried that she's not eating enough? From reading the posts, it seems as though dragons vary in what thay eat as well as how much-I'll keep feeding the crickets, and try other things in small amounts. Also, I saw something called a "cricket keeper" -it's a hollowed out rock thing that the crickets can crawl in and out of (you put in in the habitat with the lizard.) Is this ok to use?

1 or 2 seems like a rather small amount (although my youngest is eating about that now) What size are the crickets? I found with pooka she would not eat much when I offered her meal items that were too large for her to digest comfortably. A good rule of thumb on what is too large or not is this: its right if the food item is as wide as 1/2 the distance between the dragons eyes (preferably 1/3 the distance but thats not always possible) and it should be no longer then 1.5 times the length of the dragons head. With pooka she went from 2 or 3 crix a day to almost 20 (10 in 2 feedings) when I offered her smaller crickets. Also parasites will makie them feed less, if you havn't gotten your dragon and a fresh stool sample into the vet yet do so. The vet can check the stool sample and detect any parasite infections for treatment. Almost all water dragons have a parasite infection so its $35 well spent to get it taken care of right off the bat.
ABout the cricket feeder, I do not know. I pluck my crickets hind legs and put them in a little dish for my dragons (spoiled I know) so perhpas others can offer there opinions.
