Hi, how do you breed beardies is it actually better if you brumate them or is that just thier natural thing, to want to breed when they come out of brumation

Bearded dragons can breed when they are 6 months old but I recommend that you do not start breeding your dragons till they are about 18-24 months. Brumateing your dragons is good for them and simulates there natural life in Australia. brumateing you dragons will also give them a greater fertility rate and brumation stimulates them to breed. You also need to make sure your female is big enough to breed, How big is she?

im 99% sure that they are.... i bought them from the pet shop, as p. vitticeps, and my male regulary puffs his bearded out, i've been told rankins dragons have poorly developed beardeds so im pretty sure they are central bearded dragons... my male just finished shedding, so there are still growing .... either there were malnourished when there were hacthlings or i didnt feed them enough when i got them... i think both so i have started feeding them a lot more
